The Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor to join the Infrastructure & Construction team in the Derby office. The role offers the chance to work on high-value, complex matters as part of a collaborative, award-winning department. Key responsibilities include: Supporting partners and senior lawyers with a broad range of Infrastructure & Construction work Managing your own caseload with appropriate supervision Providing high-quality legal advice to clients in a timely and commercially sound manner Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing contracts and documentation Engaging in business development activities, supported by senior team members Building and maintaining strong, professional relationships with clients and third parties Meeting individual and team billing targets and contributing to wider team success Assisting with mentoring or supporting junior colleagues where appropriate You The ideal candidate will be a qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with experience in Infrastructure and/or Construction law and a proactive, commercial mindset. You will have: Qualification as a Solicitor or CILEX with relevant construction/infrastructure experience A solid grounding in both contentious and non-contentious matters (or strong knowledge in either) Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work under pressure A collaborative and professional approach, with a desire to grow your legal career Confidence in developing client relationships and working with a range of stakeholders A positive attitude, keen eye for detail, and the drive to make an impact Is it time to step into a role where your contributions are truly recognised?
