Job summary

Join our team! We pride ourselves on providing outstanding care to patients across Herefordshire and Worcestershire. You will be a supported and valued member of a team that always strives to deliver the quality of service you would like to receive yourself. The team will involve you in development, supervision, team building, and support networks.

The teams operate 7 days a week between 07:30 and 18:30. Shift times are variable, e.g., 07:30-15:30, 08:30-16:40, 10:30-18:30. You will be supported to work flexibly within these hours.

This post is permanent, for 25.5 hours per week.

We offer regular CPD and clinical supervision, comprehensive in-service training, support from experienced senior physiotherapists, and opportunities for career mobility, coaching, and mentoring. You will be involved in development, supervision, team building, and support networks.

Our team offers career progression, skills training, access to forums for LGBT, BAME, Disability, and Carers, wellbeing, and support programs. We consider flexible working options to help you achieve a good work/life balance. Our ethos is to enable and support people to remain in their own homes as a first alternative to inpatient admission. Collaboration and problem solving are key.

You will participate in team meetings, clinical audits, staff management, and team development. Working with team leaders, your input is a valuable part of our work.

Main duties of the job

What will I be doing?

Your typical day will include coordinating and supporting the Wyre Forest team and managing your own caseload. You will triage and allocate planned and unplanned visit requests for physiotherapy interventions. You will clinically supervise the Wyre Forest Physiotherapy integrated team and oversee clinical aspects of work across the Neighbourhood teams.

This may involve urgent response assessments, supporting complex hospital discharges including trauma and orthopaedic brace management, and planning domiciliary interventions to promote independent living. You will work alongside nursing and OT colleagues. The role includes supporting workforce clinical needs, mentoring staff, and supporting operational delivery.

You will also mentor student physiotherapists and collaborate with universities for student placements.
