Apollo Home Healthcare are seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants to join our team in Ashton under Lyne to support a gentleman with his complex care needs.
We are looking for compassionate Healthcare Assistants who are passionate about delivering the highest quality 1:1 care for our service user, who can build positive relationships with them and those around them.
Our service user is a cheerful, content, gentleman in his 30s who resides in a nursing home based in Ashton-Under-Lyne and requires support on a 1:1 basis throughout the night with his complex care needs.
He loves to spend time with his family, and interacting with his care team and enjoys having a banter. He enjoys watching his favourite programmes along with animated DVDS, and throughout the day he loves to access the community, going shopping and simply being out and about.
He is a very charismatic individual, and we are looking for candidates who can bring this out in him
Our service user is none verbal and expresses his needs and wants through a variety of sounds. His care team will need to show understanding and patience to understand his methods of communication.
It is essential for our candidates to have experience working with epilepsy for this position
Our service user has specifically requested for female staff to work on their team.
Main duties of the job
Throughout the night your role will be to support with his personal care, moving and handling requirements and attend to his clinical care needs when required. Make close observations and promote a comfortable and safe environment to promote a restful nights sleep.
We have the following shifts available;
1. Part Time Days and nights available- 24 hours per week
2. Days: 7:00am-7:00pm- 2 shifts per week
3. Nights: 7:00pm-7:00am- 2 shifts per week
4. Must be flexible and be able to work alternate weekends

5. Weekdays: £ per hour (Approx. £156 per 12-hour shift)
6. Weeknights: £13:50 per hour (Approx.£ per 12-hour shift)
7. Weekends: £ per hour (Approx. £168 per 12-hour shift)
8. Bank Holiday: £ (Approx. £204 per 12-hour shift)

Job responsibilities
The role of a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) is to work without direct supervision in the home of the service user providing care and support including personal, social, and domestic support whilst adhering to the service users individual care and support plan.
The aim of the position is to enable service users to remain safely in their own home with as much independence as possible.
Alongside providing care and support in a professional, discreet, and caring manner, always ensuring the service users right to privacy and dignity is maintained
