We have exciting opportunities for Teaching Assistant Level 1 SEN to join our team at Grange School.
There are currently 3 permanent full-time posts working 35 hours per week, term time only plus 5 INSET days. The grade is 3, with a pro-rata salary of £20,990 and a full-time equivalent of £24,404.
Start date is ASAP, with interviews scheduled for the week commencing 28th April after pre-employment checks.
Main purpose of the job:
You will support teaching and learning, manage pupils and resources, and work under supervision of teachers and senior staff.
Key responsibilities include:
* Working with small groups to implement Individual Learning Plans.
* Providing feedback on pupils’ progress and maintaining records.
* Supervising discreet groups of pupils when teachers are absent.
* Supporting all pupils to access learning opportunities equally.
* Participating in training to develop relevant skills.
* Supporting performance management and professional development.
* Communicating effectively in spoken English.
About the Candidate
We seek three Level 1 SEN Teaching Assistants eligible to work in the UK, capable of supporting pupils both academically and in personal care, with a basic understanding of child development and strong literacy and numeracy skills, qualified to Level 2 or higher.
This role offers a chance to work in a Special Educational Needs School, supporting students under supervision, and building excellent relationships with colleagues, parents, and external agencies. Experience with children with complex needs is highly desirable.
