Working closely with landlords, asset managers, and investors, they have built a reputation for delivering expert advice and practical solutions, particularly around dilapidations and industrial refurbishments. They are now seeking a qualified Building Surveyor with strong dilapidations and industrial experience to join their collaborative and supportive team. The role This is a client-facing role offering genuine autonomy and variety. You’ll lead on dilapidations instructions, negotiate complex claims, and oversee industrial refurbishment and redevelopment projects from start to finish. The position is based from the Birmingham head office, covering sites across the Midlands and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities: Preparing and negotiating dilapidations reports and claims (landlord focus) Advising clients on exit strategies and lease obligations within the industrial sector Managing refurbishment and fit-out projects from inception through to completion Delivering contract administration services (JCT) Carrying out building inspections and preparing detailed reports Developing and maintaining trusted client relationships Supporting and mentoring junior surveyors where required Requirements MRICS-qualified is preferred, but people that are working towards will be considered Strong track record in dilapidations and industrial property Experience within a consultancy environment Confident managing projects independently and liaising directly with clients Excellent report writing, negotiation, and organisational skills Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across the Midlands What’s on Offer Salary up to £70,000 (DOE) Generous mileage allowance Private healthcare Flexible working arrangements All client entertainment expenses covered A relaxed, supportive environment with real autonomy If you’re an MRICS Building Surveyor looking to specialise in dilapidations and industrial assets, this is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of high-value work, build lasting client relationships, and progress your career with a respected specialist consultancy
