Job Description
* Coordinate end-to-end payroll processing using Sage Payroll
* Manage starters, leavers, and statutory deductions (SSP, SMP, SPL)
* Ensure accurate pro-rata calculations and statutory payments
* Reconcile monthly payroll and prepare payroll journals
* Administer the company pension scheme and salary sacrifice benefits
* Respond to employee queries related to payroll and pensions
* Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and liaise with HMRC
* Support internal and external audits and statutory submissions
* Assist with P11D, PSA, Gender Pay Gap reporting, and ONS surveys
* Produce advanced Excel reports and quarterly timesheet analysis
* Collaborate with HR and Finance on salary and bonus review communications
The Successful Applicant
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* Mandatory experience using Sage Payroll
* 10+ years of payroll experience (ACIPP study preferred)
* Strong understanding of payroll legislation and HMRC processes
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
* A proactive approach to improving systems and processes
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
