Our client specializes in manufacturing various Gearing systems. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of materials in and out of the unit. Take accountability for the workshop and serve as the go-to person.
Key Responsibilities:
* Receiving and booking in raw materials, inspecting for damages before acceptance, and processing delivery notes.
* Raising job cards for the shop floor and cross-referencing material certificates for compliance in conjunction with Inspection.
* Ensuring accuracy in all material handling operations, including servicing shop floor material demands and booking in/out activities.
* Preparing materials (billet/bar form) and servicing shop floor material demands.
* Handling general email queries.
* Ensuring skips are emptied.
* Conducting hardness testing to verify material conformity from received goods.
* Organizing early-stage Sub Con (raw material) activities.
* Managing stock control and conducting bi-annual stock takes.
* Moving parts and supporting the expeditor as needed.
* Completing forklift logbooks daily/weekly.
* Coordinating with team members, managers, and directors.
* Meeting departmental and individual KPIs, Goals, and Objectives.
* Reviewing, creating, or adjusting section processes and procedures.
Skills and Qualifications/Experience:
* Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
* Driving license required.
* Excellent organizational skills.
* Decision-making abilities.
