Do you have an appetite for communicating?
Are you an energetic and resilient team-player?
Could you support and celebrate the achievements of children and young people in North East Lincolnshire?
We are looking for a passionate marketing specialist to join us on a one year fixed term basis.
What will your day look like?
Taking a leading role in Council communications, with a focus on services that support children and families, each day will be different.
You’ll support colleagues to deliver impactful and innovative communications campaigns to celebrate our children and young people, staff, and foster carers.
From attending events to writing content for press releases, the web and social media, you will be immersed in many of our most vital service areas.
You’ll also work closely with our in-house graphic designers and print unit to produce visually attractive and meaningful adverts to support some of the Council's key messages.
Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for an experienced communicator who is familiar with the local media landscape and understands the challenges of working in a busy public sector organisation.
You’ll be expected to manage your own workload, working closely with managers and senior leaders in the authority to deliver communications objectives.
Forming content for press releases, web pages and social media posts, you’ll need to be a confident and creative storyteller with a record of delivering impactful writing.
You’ll also need to be comfortable dealing with emotive subjects, maintaining communications plans and managing relationships with key stakeholders including journalists, local politicians and external partners.
Why join us?
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an experienced and supportive team. You’ll have the chance to be involved in some of the most significant local campaigns in the area.
