Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and young people with special educational needs? Our dedicated SEN school in Chester is seeking a caring, resilient, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team.
About the Role
You’ll be supporting pupils aged 2–19 with a range of complex needs, including physical disabilities, learning difficulties, and autism spectrum conditions. This is a hands-on role that requires compassion, adaptability, and a genuine commitment to inclusive education.
Key Responsibilities

Provide tailored support to pupils in both classroom and 1:1 settings

Assist with personal care routines sensitively and respectfully
*
Support communication and sensory needs using specialist strategies
*
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families
*
Help create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing learning environment
What We’re Looking For
*
Experience working with children or young people with SEN (preferred but not essential)
*
Comfortable with personal care and supporting complex needs
*
A calm, patient, and proactive approach
*
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
*
A willingness to learn and grow within a supportive team
