Head Chef - Glasgow Job Title: Head Chef Location: Diageo Shieldhall, 500 Renfrew Road, Glasgow, G51 4SA Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday Rate of Pay: 16.24 per hour Contract Type: Permanent About the Role We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to join our team at Diageo Shieldhall in Glasgow. This is a fantastic opportunity to take the lead in a dynamic and fast-paced kitchen environment, delivering a high-quality catering service to our client. As Head Chef, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day culinary operations, developing menus, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and leading a small kitchen team to success. Key Responsibilities: Lead, motivate and develop the kitchen team to deliver exceptional food standards Plan and create menus in line with client requirements and company guidelines Manage stock control, wastage, and food production planning Ensure compliance with food safety, health and safety, and allergen policies Build strong working relationships with the client and wider on-site teams Deliver excellent customer satisfaction through quality, presentation and service About You Proven experience in a Head Chef or senior kitchen role, ideally within a contract catering or similar environment Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team Excellent culinary skills and creative flair for menu design Organised, calm under pressure, and focused on high standards Confident with food safety, compliance, and hygiene procedures Essential Qualifications: Food Safety Level 3 Desirable Qualifications: IOSH Managing Safely Site-Specific Benefits: Free onsite parking Pre-employment Requirements: Right to work in the UK CTPAT clearance (as required by site) What We Offer Working with Sodexo is more than a job; it's a chance to be part of something greater.
