About The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Our residents are people with their own stories, and by joining us you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back. You will plan and implement the kind of care that gives residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence, get to know residents and their families to deliver truly personalised care plans, and lead a team of Care Assistants to maintain the highest standards of care. You’ll assist with activities such as helping someone use a walking frame, supporting someone at the end of life, or talking with a resident’s family, always with kindness. You’ll work with the Registered Nurse and Care Manager to provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, as well as administering medication. One key responsibility is to maintain accurate records and build strong relationships with the team.
Ideally, you’ll have completed a Level 2 Diploma/SNVQ in Adult Care and are prepared to work towards Level 3 qualification, with a background in person‑centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia. What’s essential is your positive energy and ability to get along with people, good record-keeping, effective time management, and being considerate and kind in all communications.
