An excellent opportunity has become available for the role of Nurse Colposcopist with The Northern Care Alliance.
The Colposcopy Practitioner will maintain advanced specialist skills to undertake full diagnostic and therapeutic Colposcopy, including examination and treatment. The successful candidate will participate in regular multi-disciplinary meetings (MDT) for case discussion and protocol review, including cytology and histology services, working closely with the hospital-based programme co-ordinator.
BSCCP trained Nurse Colposcopist, responsible for examining, assessing and treating patients with abnormal smears, vaginal and vulval conditions.
Maintain and develop the Colposcopy service within the parameters of current and future guidance and protocols. Act as a key contact for the patient experience collaborative and ensure that feedback is acted upon, with demonstrable improvements. Development of the Colposcopy Service in line with evidence-based practice, with a view to improving the quality of care as part of the MDT. Provide a specialist-led service while managing own caseload. Ensure written protocols and guidelines are in place and up to date for the service.
