Business Support Officer

Established in 2013, we have offices in Shrewsbury, London, and Cheltenham, and are currently experiencing growth to meet the needs of our expanding client base and development of new services.

Job Type: Full-time (Monday to Friday)
The Role: Reporting to the Department Manager, you will provide administrative support to various areas of the business, including but not limited to Operations, Finance, Claims Handling, Recoveries, and Complaints. This role offers opportunities to work with colleagues across different departments and to develop knowledge and expertise in a variety of administrative functions.
Key Activities:
* Support colleagues with administrative tasks such as setting up claims files, handling inbound calls, managing post, answering queries, updating systems, collating data, filing documents, processing invoices and payments, reconciling accounts, and supporting VAT and audit activities.
* Maintain excellent customer service and positive relationships with stakeholders.
* Participate in training and development activities, including CII qualifications, with costs covered by the company.
* Ensure compliance with legal and industry standards.
* Contribute to team discussions and support continuous improvement initiatives.
* Perform other duties as required by line managers or senior management.
Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience in office administration; experience in insurance or financial services is desirable.
* Strong IT skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams; experience with Claims Management Portals is preferred but training will be provided.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Confident in telephone communication.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships quickly.
* Well-organized with excellent time management and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Educated to A-Level or equivalent, with GCSE English Language grade 5 or equivalent.
