Make a Difference in our Actuarial team
Our Group Finance actuarial function comprises a range of professionals from newly qualified analysts to experienced actuaries, delivering all actuarial services across the Wesleyan Group. Key areas include product pricing, valuation, capital management, modelling, and financial reporting, with a collaborative, flexible approach to working across the team. Within this, the Lead Product Pricing Actuary plays a key role in shaping product design and pricing strategy, leading the Product Pricing team to support strategy and provide actuarial oversight, shaping product design and delivering data-driven insights that support sustainable growth, profitability, and positive customer outcomes.
Your Impact:
Here’s how you’ll make a difference:
1. Lead product pricing strategy and actuarial oversight, shaping product design and delivering data-driven insights that support sustainable growth, profitability, and positive customer outcomes.
2. Provide expert actuarial and commercial advice on new and existing products, ensuring pricing decisions balance regulatory requirements, TCF principles, and business objectives.
3. Drive high-quality delivery across the Product Pricing team, maintaining robust controls, governance frameworks, and accurate, timely outputs.
4. Influence key stakeholders across the business (including CPCO and senior committees), supporting strategic decision-making through clear, evidence-based recommendations.
5. Oversee actuarial assumptions, modelling, and management information, ensuring insights into capital, risk, and performance inform long-term business strategy.
6. Lead, coach, and develop actuarial talent, fostering a collaborative, high-performing team that contributes to wider actuarial and cross-functional initiatives.
What You’ll Bring
7. Fully qualified member of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries
8. Experience leading actuarial work and leading employees
9. Strong technical pricing expertise across protection, pension or investment products
10. Comfortable operating in a regulated financial services environment, including a good understanding of UK product regulations
11. Experience of working in a UK Life Office environment
12. Detailed experience of working with an actuarial modelling system – e.g. Prophet
