We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate and highly motivated dietitian to join out friendly Community Dietetic team.
As a Specialist Dietitian you will have the opportunity to consolidate and develop your own clinical skills, as well as supporting the development of others in the team. The post holder will contribute to high standards of clinical care, quality improvement and safety for gastroenterology patients and service.
The successful applicant will be organised with excellent communication skills and the ability to work and communicate across boundaries to ensure the best possible care for patients, carers and the wider community. You will support and promote nutritional strategies for gastroenterology patients, primarily in the West of the region (this encompasses Newton Stewart and Stranraer clinics) and Mountainhall Treatment Centre in Dumfries. Gastroenterology dietetic experience is essential for this post.
You will be supported by an experienced team of specialist dietitians and will have the opportunity to work in a variety of community clinics. Your learning needs are important to us and we will work to support additional development as identified.
It is essential that you are able to travel and work between multiple sites within our rural location.

The post base will be with the Community Dietetic team at Mountainhall Treatment Centre with digital and face to face clinics in the west of the region, which includes Stranraer and Newton Stewart
DRIVING
This post may involve clinic and home visits in remote and rural areas therefore a current driving licence is an essential requirement of this post. However, if you have a disability which precludes you from holding a driving licence, consideration will be given if alternative transport can be arranged.
