Are you an experienced inventory professional ready to take ownership of inventory accuracy across multiple locations? We are looking for a proactive, analytical, and collaborative Inventory Manager to join our Operations team and drive excellence across our warehousing and supply chain processes.

This is a key role with a significant impact on operational performance, product availability, and stock integrity across the entire Group.

As our Inventory Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and efficiency of all product inventory held across the business. You'll lead the processes that ensure our systems reflect real physical stock and work closely with warehouse teams, supply chain, IT, and senior management to deliver operational excellence.

You will:

Inventory Accuracy & Control

* Lead and maintain the accuracy of all product inventory across all sites.
* Ensure WMS/ERP system stock updates match physical stock levels.
* Oversee correct product handling, storage, and quality preservation.
* Conduct cycle counts and develop robust stock control processes.
* Investigate stock errors, waste, damage, and discrepancies.
* Act as the subject matter expert for inventory management and SOP adherence.

Operational Performance & Continuous Improvement

* Drive improvements across goods‑in, storage, picking, packing, and despatch.
* Reduce mis‑picks, investigate order errors, and enhance fulfilment accuracy.
* Introduce lean best‑practice methods and identify performance improvement opportunities.
* Maximise WMS/ERP system utilisation and collaborate with IT on system issues.

Warehouse Layout & Planning

* Optimise warehouse layout and material flow to boost efficiency.
* Use data to model space and resource requirements.
* Work closely with Supply Chain to support inbound delivery planning.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

* Work closely with warehouse managers and supervisors to deliver performance targets.
* Train, support, and motivate staff on inventory best practices.
* Assist with workforce planning, shift scheduling, and resourcing.
* Foster a culture focused on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Reporting & Data Management

* Develop KPI dashboards and provide clear, actionable reporting.
* Track key operational metrics including:
* Inventory accuracy
* Picking and packing efficiency
* Stock loss
* Labour productivity
* Despatch performance
* Space utilisation
* Provide timely updates on delays, shortages, errors, and capacity issues. ]

Health, Safety & Compliance

* Ensure compliance with company H&S policies.
* Support incident reduction and process integrity.
* Record and investigate safety events and procedural failures

Essential Skills & Experience

* Proven experience building relationships across Operations, Customer Services, Supply Chain, and Logistics.
* Strong operational and warehousing expertise, including capacity planning.
* Confident using WMS/ERP systems and high‑volume datasets.
* Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
* Strong Excel capability and high attention to detail.
* Understanding of import processes, documentation, duties, and freight forwarding.
* Ability to coordinate and prioritise own workload and others'.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Desirable

* Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen
* Strong root cause analysis skills (e.g., 5 Whys, fishbone)

Qualifications

* Essential: A‑levels or equivalent vocational qualification in warehousing, logistics, or supply chain (or strong demonstrable experience).
* Desirable: Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management, or Operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
