Role Introduction
We’re now hiring a dedicated Sales Development Representative to take ownership of the earliest stage of our commercial funnel; converting interest into conversations. This role is critical to ensuring marketing-generated leads (MQLs) are activated quickly and tailored outreach is delivered across our priority accounts.

Sonrai is a Belfast-based AI data discovery company with a mission to power the most important precision medicine breakthroughs through connected data and collaborative science. We enable Biotech and Pharma companies to reduce the cost, time, and risk from early discovery to clinical trials, accelerate drug, biomarker, and diagnostics, maintain a secure and compliant Trusted Research Environment, and effectively and safely manage data.
Our bioinformatic cloud product is sold on a licence fee basis, along with accompanying data science and software engineering professional services. Our clients and partners already include some of the biggest names around, and we’re now looking to appoint a Solutions Executive within the Sales team to generate new leads and opportunities. Opportunity & Responsibilities
The Sales Development Representative will work closely with the Marketing and the Solutions Executive teams to generate new sales leads, which is a critical part of the early deal pipeline.
Responsibilities
* Identify and enrich key targets using LinkedIn, email tools, and CRM filters
* Use Sonrai campaign context (webinar topic, content download, ad clicked) to personalise outreach
* Own the activation of warm MQLs (webinars, ads, reports, etc.) within 24–48 hours
* Generate an agreed number of meetings for the Solutions Executives
* Meet KPIs on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
* Build stakeholder maps of target companies
* Internal stakeholder communication & CRM management
* Engage credibly with scientific and technical stakeholders to open conversations
* Maintain a high degree of knowledge of Sonrai offerings, and external environment
* Collaborate with Marketing to improve campaign follow-up and lead handoff workflows
* Report on weekly, monthly and quarterly results
As a growing Tech Startup, Sonrai offers a flexible working environment with employees free to work remotely part time, and to use our Belfast office. UK and international travel may be required as necessary to attend sales meetings and conferences.
Scientific degree not required, just strong commercial instincts and curiosity
Interested in a more commercial-oriented career path
Able to manage structured outreach cadences (multi-step, multi-channel)
Comfortable with tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Reply.io, or similar (training provided)
Excellent communicator and comfortable in client-facing roles
A tenacious and hands-on approach to work
Team player and able to work independently
Entitled to work in the UK
Biomedical science (or equivalent) graduate
Experience in a customer-facing capacity (e.g., lead generation, sales, support, consulting) – ability to customise offerings based on customer needs
Experience in lead generation, SDR, inside sales, or scientific recruitment
Basic understanding of biotech/pharma or precision medicine landscape (especially in multi-omics, diagnostics, or imaging)
Used tools like HubSpot CRM, Sales Navigator, Hunter.io, etc.
Thrived in a fast-paced startup or scale-up culture
