About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the School Admissions Team. The post is within the Education Access and Support service. You will join an established team and report to the School Admissions Team Manager.
Key responsibilities:
* Assist BFfC’s duty to fulfill the legal requirement to offer children school places within the specified timeframes.
* Accurately enter data and verify applications and relevant information into the School Admissions system within the nationally defined timescales.
* Respond professionally to queries related to school admissions via phone and email.
* Work with parents and carers to address and resolve concerns related to their applications.
* Maintain and update school admission logs and records to keep parents informed.
Experience/skills required:
* Experience working in a busy office environment, in education or another service sector.
* Experience providing information and advice, explaining complex legislation to customers.
* Proficient ICT skills, with ability to use various computer packages and systems.
* Knowledge of school admission processes or willingness to learn.
