As a Test Technician you will test electronic equipment, fault finding down to component level when required to meet production schedules and performance standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Performing various production assembly operation on electronic components and sub- assemblies.
2. Using test procedures, drawings, schematics and verbal/written instructions to test troubleshoot units.
3. Work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where the ability to recognize nonconformities is required.
4. Communicate openly and effectively in a professional manner.
5. Understand and follow all safety requirements.
6. Maintain fixturing, perform calibration, preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance.
7. Works under limited supervision.
8. Is expected to train other employees in established processes.
9. Initiates and contributes to corrective actions.
10. Ensures all tasks are performed accurately and completely.
11. Must be effectively cross trained on multiple product platforms.
12. Initiates and contributes to improving processes, lead times, through-put and cost reductions.
QUALIFICATIONS
13. Previous experience in electrical circuits and assemblies testing preferred.
14. Proven ability and experience maintaining flexibility and being able to adapt in a team environment.
15. Understands Lean Manufacturing and 5S concepts.
16. Intermediate computer knowledge to include AE Nexus, Excel, Word and Outlook.
17. Proficient in all pertinent SAP applications.
18. Minimum of two years electronic testing and troubleshooting (or equivalent).
19. Assists in designing, developing and implementing new test fixturing.
20. Knowledge and understanding of ESD practices.
21. HNC or Electrical Electronics Degree.
