An electronics manufacturing company. They are seeking an Assembly Technician.
Responsibilities
* Build electromechanical sub‑assemblies, printed circuit boards, and final products; read and interpret bills of materials and drawings.
* Clean and pack products using COSHH substances with appropriate PPE.
* Raise non‑compliance, rework records, stores requisitions and any build documentation changes when required.
* Familiarize with relevant elements of quality management, including static handling precautions and workmanship standards.
* Maintain a high accuracy of stock control and stock levels; replenish and place Kanban orders as required.
* Maintain and improve housekeeping and working practices.
* Adhere to the company's ISO9001, ISO14001 and Health & Safety Management System requirements.
* Work as part of a team to achieve departmental objectives and continuously improve product quality and processes, reducing waste through lean initiatives.
Qualifications
* Experience building or assembling within a manufacturing environment.
* Able to follow assembly steps and instructions.
* Understanding of basic modern manufacturing methods.
* Good communication skills and a practical, hands‑on worker.
* IPC soldering certificates is an advantage.
