Role: Business Analyst – Power BI & Microsoft Fabric
Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 per annum
Location: Colchester, Essex
Responsibilities
* Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports aligned to agreed KPIs and business priorities.
* Translate business questions into clear, outcome focused analytical outputs for operational, tactical, and strategic decision making.
* Ensure dashboards are intuitive, consistent, and focused on insight rather than raw data.
* Work closely with IT and technical colleagues to consume data sets surfaced through Microsoft Fabric and related platforms.
* Validate data definitions, logic, and accuracy to maintain trust in reporting outputs.
* Feed business insight requirements into the ongoing evolution of data models and reporting structures.
* Identify opportunities to improve reporting, reduce manual processes, and increase self‑service access to insight.
* Contribute to the development of reporting standards, documentation, and good practice.
* Support the wider Digital Transformation programme by embedding data‑led thinking into everyday decision making.

Qualifications
* Proven experience in a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or BI focused role.
* Strong hands‑on experience designing and delivering Power BI dashboards.
* Experience working with structured data sets, measures, and data models.
* Ability to engage with non‑technical stakeholders, including senior colleagues.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain insight clearly and succinctly.
