Role Overview
You will work as a Dental Apprentice Nurse in our practice in Heckmondwike, earning £12.71 per hour until qualified. The role offers an 18‑24 month training program that culminates in a Level 3 qualification, equivalent to a Level 3 apprenticeship in Dental Nursing. During the programme you will learn and support the dental team in delivering high‑quality patient care.
Qualifications
* Level 2 English and Maths (equivalent to GCSE grades A–C) or equivalent evidence.
* Commitment to completing the 18‑24 month apprenticeship plan and passing the end‑point assessment.
* Pass a DBS check and be ready to register with the GDC once qualified.
Responsibilities
* Provide excellent patient care from the moment a patient enters the practice until they leave.
* Assist dental professionals with chair‑side duties, ensuring the highest level of patient care.
* Learn and apply infection prevention and control, dental materials handling, and equipment maintenance.
* Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and support legislative compliance and regulatory requirements.
* Promote health education and support patient management throughout treatment.
