Learning Support Assistants
Location: Fareham
Hours: Full-time (30 hours per week, term-time + 1 week)
Start: ASAP
Long-term position (with potential for permanent contract)
Pay: £17,637 – £18,914 actual salary (dependent on experience and qualifications)

We are seeking enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to join a growing specialist school setting in the Fareham area. This is a fantastic opportunity to support students with a range of special educational needs, helping them to develop both academically and personally.
You will play a key role in creating a positive and supportive learning environment, working closely with teaching staff to ensure every student can thrive.

What You’ll Be Doing:
• Supporting students with a range of learning needs in the classroom
• Assisting with the delivery of tailored learning programmes
• Providing one-to-one and small group support
• Encouraging independence, confidence and engagement
• Supporting students with emotional and personal care needs where required
• Working closely with teachers and other professionals
• Promoting a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment
What We’re Looking For:
• Experience working with children or young people (SEN desirable)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Calm, patient and adaptable approach
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and develop professionally
• Commitment to supporting students’ wellbeing and development
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
