An opportunity has arisen for a Healthcare Science Support Worker to join the multi-disciplinary team at the Oxford Gait and Movement Analysis Service. This is a highly specialised service which provides assessment of walking and movement patterns for those with orthopaedic and neurological conditions. The service provides regional and national clinical gait and movement analysis services based at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which is renowned worldwide for its orthopaedic treatment. The department has an ongoing research programme with strong academic links with the University of Oxford and Oxford Brookes University. The laboratory is fully equipped with a camera motion capture system; three forceplates; surface EMG instrumentation and a plantar pressure platform.
Main duties of the job
As a member of the multi-disciplinary team, the post-holder will support clinical scientists, technologists and physiotherapists by assisting in the process of preparing for and collecting gait and movement analysis data, as well as providing some administrative support.
