Senior Advanced Embedded Engineer - Fire

This is a hybrid role: 3 days at the office, 2 days work‑from‑home. The position requires around 20% international travel and flexibility to work onsite as needed.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and test embedded firmware for fire panel subsystems in line with EN54 and customer requirements.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fire regulatory standards (EN54).
* Investigate and resolve complex customer issues with a focus on root cause analysis.
* Troubleshoot hardware and firmware issues as required.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless hardware/firmware integration.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives, including DevSecOps practices and advanced software testing methods (static and dynamic).
Key Skills And Qualifications
* Relevant degree-level education in Electronics/Computer Science with extensive experience in embedded C/C++ software design.
* Skilled in FreeRTOS/Linux, communication protocols (Ethernet, CAN, RS485, RS232), and hardware/firmware integration with debugging tools.
* Proficient in GitHub, UML/class diagrams, Continuous Integration, DevSecOps, and advanced testing (static/dynamic).
* Strong background in microcontroller platforms, EMI/EMC robust firmware design, and electronic/firmware interfaces.
