Role Overview We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Accountant to manage our financial records, ensure compliance, and provide insightful financial analysis. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the financial health of the company, supporting decision-making, and contributing to strategic growth. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, reports, and ledgers in accordance with UK accounting standards and company policies. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with HMRC regulations. Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations. Collaborate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation for audits. Monitor cash flow and assist in managing banking relationships. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in financial operations. Maintain confidentiality and security of financial information. Qualifications & Experience A recognised accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent. Proven experience as an Accountant within the accountancy sector or similar industries. Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards, taxation, and regulatory requirements. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
