PECS & Makaton Trained LSA

Pay: £85 - £110 per day
Tradewind have partnered up with a fantastic mainstream primary school based in Central London who are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant trained in PECS and Makaton.

Judged to be "good" in their latest Ofsted inspection, this school is a fantastic place to work and learn. The school offer training, brilliant support from SLT & SEN Specialist, and actively advocate the mental wellbeing of both staff and pupils.
The role:
To support an EYFS child on a 1:1 basis
Child has Autism and speech & language difficulties
Use methods such as PECS & Makaton to communicate and support this child
Create a positive learning space
Encourage the child to develop a love of learning
Work towards targets in line the child's EHCPThe ideal candidate will have:
Minimum of 3 months of solid SEN experience
Prior experience as a Learning Support Assistant
PECS / Makaton knowledge is ideal, but we will welcome applications from those without the training but with extensive SEN experience
EYFS experience is ideal
Must be available full-time and ASAP
This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
