Job Description:
Are you an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental Manager? If so, we'd love to hear from you!
If you are passionate about promoting organisational safety and environmental responsibility and are looking for a new challenge, consider joining Chartway Partnerships Group.
Chartway Partnerships Group is a leading South East land-led housebuilder, specializing in developing new homes and communities in partnership with housing associations, landowners, and investors.
About The Role
To succeed, you’ll need a solid understanding of the construction and housebuilding industry, along with up-to-date knowledge of relevant Health & Safety legislation. A commitment to ongoing professional development is essential, especially in maintaining current legislative awareness and best practices in health, safety, and environmental standards.
You should hold, or be working towards, a relevant CSCS competence card. Strong presentation skills and the ability to influence and communicate persuasively across stakeholders are key to promoting a proactive safety culture.
The role involves conducting monthly scored audits, periodic inspections, and incident investigations across our operational divisions - Chartway Civil Engineering, Chartway Drylining, and Chartway Building Supplies - in line with the company’s standards. You will oversee inspections and support offices and yards, as well as support behavioral change initiatives to drive new ways of working.
What you’ll need
We’re looking for passionate, enthusiastic individuals eager to grow both personally and professionally, and help us grow our business. If you share our values - Quality, Respect, Integrity, Innovation, and Sustainability - you’ll fit right in.
Experience from a similar role in a Health, Safety, and Environmental background, preferably in construction, is required. You should be highly organized, IT-proficient, and knowledgeable about risk assessments, COSHH, and safe systems of work. Caring about doing things the right way for colleagues, the business, and communities is essential.
Strong communication skills, experience with management systems, policy development, risk assessments, COSHH assessments, and safe systems of work are valuable. Relationship management is also a key aspect of this role.
