Our client, a reputable UK-wide recovery business, is actively seeking experienced Roadside Vehicle Technicians to join their dedicated team. This role offers the chance to gain diverse technical experience outside of a traditional garage environment, working across Chelmsford and surrounding areas. As a Roadside Vehicle Technician, you will respond to breakdowns promptly, starting from your own driveway, with paid travel time incorporated into your working hours.

Healthcare and wellbeing benefitsDuties of a Roadside Vehicle Technician:
Respond to breakdown requests across Chelmsford and surrounding areas
Perform electrical, diagnostic, and repair work on a variety of vehicle makes and models
Fault-finding and troubleshooting on-site to resolve breakdown issues efficiently
Conduct safety and quality checks on vehicles
Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
Provide excellent customer service during roadside assistance calls
Follow safety protocols and company procedures at all timesRequirements of a Roadside Vehicle Technician:
Full UK driving licence
A minimum of a Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification or equivalent
At least 2 years’ post-qualification experience in vehicle repair and diagnostics
Strong fault-finding skills and ability to work independently
Customer-centric approach with excellent communication skills
Flexibility to work weekends, with approximately 50% rota weekends (generally fewer)
