What you’ll be doing
The Princiapl Architect is the primary customer interface up to CIO level for all technical design aspects of BT’s solution. Specifically:
1. Be part of the account leadership team and the customers trusted advisor
2. Maintain a multi-year solution roadmap, co-created with the customers key decision makers and stakeholders. Drawing on the customer’s business drivers, industry trends and BT’s product and solutions portfolio
3. Ensure technical risks and issues are managed and mitigated
4. Provide leadership to the operational teams in moments of major customer jeopardy
5. Drive revenue generation, cashflow, EBIT, NPS and on time quality delivery

Technology expertise:
A diverse range of technical skills at an architecture level, deeper in a number:
• WAN / LAN / Wi-Fi (e.g. HPE, Fortinet, Cisco)
• Software defined networks (SDWAN, SDLAN, Segmentation)
• Security (e.g. ZTNA, IAM, IDS/IPS, ZTNA, SASE, Firewalls)
• Proxy Technology (e.g. Palo Alto, Bluecoat, Ivanti, Cisco)
• Collaboration / Voice (e.g. MS Teams, Cisco, GSIP)
• Contact Centres (e.g. Avaya, Genesys)
• Public/private Compute / Cloud (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Tooling / IaC (e.g. Netbrain, Terraform)
Knowledge skills:
• Strategy Development (e.g. discovery, requirements, road mapping, architecture)
• Methodology (e.g. TOGAF, MBSE, ITIL, DevOps, etc.)
• Architectural/Technical governance
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to Cx level
• Solution Design and Delivery and risk management
• Virtual Team strategy setting and leadership
• Commercial Awareness
• Stakeholder management
