Are you an enthusiastic and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) looking for your next role? We are seeking a dedicated individual to join a welcoming and inclusive school in the Redhill & Reigate area. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), ensuring every child has the chance to thrive.
SEN Teaching Assistant - Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN, including autism (ASD), ADHD, speech & language difficulties, and SEMH (social, emotional, and mental health needs).
* Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCo to deliver tailored learning plans.
* Help manage classroom behaviour positively and encourage inclusive learning.
* Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs.
* Encourage personal, social, and emotional development alongside academic progress.
SEN Teaching Assistant - Candidate Requirements:
* Minimum 6 months’ experience working as an SEN TA, Teaching Assistant, or LSA in a school setting.
* Experience supporting children with additional needs in Primary or Secondary education.
* A caring, patient, and resilient approach to supporting children.
* Relevant qualifications (CACHE, Level 2/3 TA, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
