Job responsibilities This post is for a Band 6 Clinical sister/charge nurse to work in a 2 roomed Endoscopy Unit. This post will include leading the unit on a daily basis and taking a lead on patient satisfaction surveys, audits, staff development and appraisals, managing sickness and absence and supporting the unit leads. The role will encompass specific responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care and expertise within the clinical area.To help lead and coordinate the clinical, managerial and educational requirements of the of the clinical area ensuring the highest standards of nursing practice and care are delivered as reflected by the unit philosophy.Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of services users and always working in a manner that promotes dignity and human rights through the adoption of person centred care principles A knowledge of Endoscopy is essential and exposure to leading a team of staff would be beneficial. A minimum of 2 years as a band 5 is required. The unit has JAG accreditation and this in turn offers some great learning specific to the role with the ability to progress in your career should you wish.
