Engineering Manager | Warrington | Private hospital | Full time | 37.5 hours per week | 6 months FTC | Competitive salary plus excellent benefits
Spire Cheshire Hospital, Warrington is currently looking for an experienced Manager to join their Engineering team on a full-time and fixed-term basis.

Contract type: 6 months fixed-term contract
Working hours: Monday to Friday between the hours of 7 am and 5 pm
As Engineering Manager you will be responsible to maintain grounds, building fabric, building services and all equipment in a cost effective manner, ensuring compliance with all current legislation and Spire policies. You will maintain a safe environment for all staff and customers.
Please note the split of this role is anticipated to be 50% on management responsibilities, with the remaining 50% on hands on responsibilities.
Duties and responsibilities (not limited):
1. To manage all aspects of health and safety within the hospital, including overall control, co-ordination and maintenance of the hospital risk register.
2. To plan, develop and implement a comprehensive, cost effective, planned and preventative maintenance / repair programme for all engineering services / equipment, utilising the network Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
3. To commission, record and schedule all new equipment and services for planned maintenance on the network CMMS. Ensure continual update of hospital asset register to keep all plant and equipment visible to the site and the network.
4. Ensure an appropriate asset management procedure is in place for all engineering plant and equipment. Work with other departmental mangers to ensure an appropriate asset management is in place for all hospital equipment.
5. To identify, prioritise and report engineering infrastructure and compliance risk to your Area Engineer and National Engineering and Estates Manager.
6. Ensure accurate record keeping and easy retrieval filing of documentation for all services and equipment for audit purposes.
7. To plan and develop an annual Engineering Estate’s Plan to include comprehensive maintenance programme for building fabric.
What do you need to have?
8. Served a recognised apprenticeship in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or has proven extensive healthcare engineering experience
9. High level of engineering knowledge and skills based on education, training and extensive experience
10. Extensive knowledge of building services
11. 5 years’ experience in building services management
12. Prioritise demands against resources.
13. Develop objective in line with corporate/local business plans
14. Negotiate service levels and local contracts with suppliers
15. Support Hospital compliance with changing legislation
