The role
As a Maintenance Manager, you’ll lead and support a dedicated team to deliver an effective regime of planned and reactive maintenance across the Royal School of Military Engineering (RSME) Minley estate. This is a role where your leadership will directly impact operational readiness and safety, while giving you the opportunity to develop your career in a dynamic environment. This is a senior role reporting direct to the leadership team.
Day‑to‑day you’ll be required to:
* Manage and support a team of supervisors, engineers, and admin staff.
* Oversee delivery of planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical, electrical, and building fabric disciplines.
* Plan, prioritise, and coordinate maintenance and small works, ensuring safe deployment of staff and contractors.
* Drive improvements to enhance output effectiveness and consistency across the contract.
* Ensure KPIs and service standards are consistently met.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Minley.
Essential experience of the Maintenance Manager
* Strong knowledge of health and safety in the built environment.
Qualifications for the Maintenance Manager
* Trade qualification or time‑served experience.
* Full UK driving licence.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
