Responsibilities
* Perform a full range of inspections, diagnostics, maintenance and repair procedures on a range of vehicles, trailers and mechanical equipment.
* Use your own personal toolkit to undertake routine maintenance and repair on light and heavy goods vehicles.
* Have access to specialist tooling and shared equipment in our modern, fully equipped workshops.
Qualifications and Attributes
* Qualified mechanic: fully qualified to an advanced level (IMI Level 3 in light or heavy vehicle or equivalent) with your own toolkit for standard repairs.
* Varied vehicle experience: proven vehicle technician experience working on a wide range of vehicles, e.g. LCV / HGV.
* Valid UK driving licence: full manual UK driving licence, preferably an HGV licence with trailer experience.
* High working standards: pride in your work and deliver effective job completion.
* Flexible to service demands: able to work on a flexible shift rota and willing to support your team where necessary.

We’re recruiting an IMI Level 3 qualified mechanic at Chelmsford Workshop on a permanent contract, with the potential to earn up to £50k including overtime.
Working Hours
Full time – 39.5 hours per week, rotating shift pattern: week 1 06:00–14:30, week 2 11:30–20:00. You will be required to work one in three Saturdays (with a weekday day off).

* Salary: £39,715 per annum.
* Additional weekend supplement on Saturday (£52.10 per shift) is applicable.
