Opportunity
We’re looking for an inspiring Associate Lecturer in ESOL to join our talent pool and deliver engaging, high‑quality teaching. This role involves supporting a specified module or modules, including the preparation and delivery of lectures, workshops, and practical sessions. This is a zero‑hours contract with regular working hours to be confirmed at interview.
Responsibilities
* Deliver scheduled teaching and learning sessions.
* Prepare high‑quality learning materials.
* Design and mark assessments, alongside moderation duties.
* Contribute to curriculum design and continuous quality improvement.
* Provide student support and supervise independent study.
* Attend programme and team meetings.
* Participate in CPD activities to enhance your practice.
* Support student monitoring, reporting, course review and evaluation.
* Take part in quality assurance processes.
* Participate in cross‑college projects, working groups and committees.
* Prepare and present papers as needed.
* Act as a positive role model, demonstrating the College’s FREDIE+ values (Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion & Engagement).
* Ensure safety and wellbeing of students through robust safeguarding practices.
* Support key college events such as open days, enrolment and exam periods.
* Follow health & safety policies relevant to your role.
* Ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
* Contribute to sustainability goals and Net Zero ambition.
