About the Role:

We are looking for an outstanding clinical and social care apprenticeship coach/tutor to join our team and help our learners succeed and support our continuing growth. With a passion for training and skills development, you will plan and deliver a range of programmes including apprenticeships, short courses, and full qualifications from L2 to L5 in clinical and social care. The geographical area will primarily be Hertfordshire/Southeast, however there is an expectation of travel to meet the needs of the business. This post is homebased with the expectation to meet learners and employers face to face as required.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Main Roles and Responsibilities

3. Participate in the planning and delivery of a range of programmes within the subject area to include short courses, full qualifications, and apprenticeships.
4. Deliver consistently good training and assessment within the curriculum through an effective variety of teaching and learning activities.
5. Carry out practical assessments, providing the relevant paperwork and record keeping in compliance with the awarding body requirements.
6. Be actively involved and support the recruitment, sign up and induction of students. Meet individual needs, accessing ALS support where needed.
7. Coordinate all elements of apprenticeship frameworks to achieve timely success.
8. Develop good relationships with employers to support the achievement of learners and support the growth of the provision.
9. Ensure high standards of Health & Safety at all times in accordance with regulations and college Policy, notifying the line manager or appropriate manager of any risks.
10. Comply with agreed student retention, attendance, and success measures in line with key performance expectations.
11. Undertake administrative duties related to the curriculum and individual students and assessors to enable outstanding outcomes for all students.
12. Attending meetings within the college and external events as required.
13. Undertake tutorials and reviews to monitor and support learner progress.
14. Be able to travel to meet client requirements (national accounts)
15. Be prepared to work some evenings and weekends as required.

17. To work in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act, ensuring the College is a safe environment for staff, students and visitors.
18. To promote with staff and students the importance of safeguarding the welfare of children and vulnerable adults they are responsible for and come into contact with.
19. To work at all times in accordance with North Hertfordshire College’s policies and procedures.
20. To carry out such duties as may be required from time to time by the college that are appropriate to the grade of the post
