We have a client specializing in compact plant equipment with a location in the Newbury aera looking for a experienced Class 1 Driver. Our client is a family run business that has been around for nearly 40 years in the plant equipment industry. They have a total of eight depots around the UK. As part of this role you would be transporting plant equipment from their Newbury Depot to their other 7 depots. Duties would include; Ensure the safe transport of various types of plant equipment. Aiding in the safe loading as well as unloading of plant equipment. Ensuring that all the relevant paperwork is completed in a timely manor. Completion of daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness. Ideal candidate; Would have proven experience in the plant hire, construction or a related industry Hold a current Category CE (Class 1) license with a year’s driving experience along with up to date CPC and valid Tachograph. Experience working both in a team as well as with clients. This is a temp to perm role working Monday to Friday, 45 hours a week. The working hours are 07:00 - 16:30. There may be occasion when an overnight stay is required, in which case a meal supplement will be provided during the temp period. Our client offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
