Overview
We are looking for two Physiotherapy Technical Instructors to join our specialist physiotherapy team providing person-centred support to adults with intellectual and neurodevelopmental disabilities in Nottinghamshire.
These are:
* 30 hours predominantly based in our West and North teams, supporting service users in Mansfield, Ashfield, and Bassetlaw.
* 22.5 hours predominantly based in our South team, supporting service users in Rushcliffe, Gedling, and Broxtowe.
We are a friendly community-based service that sits within a wider multi-disciplinary framework of support services.
Responsibilities
* Support the provision of physiotherapy interventions to service users under the direction and supervision of registered staff members.
* Work alongside registered therapists to provide specialist, community-based, person-centred physiotherapy assessment and treatment interventions to referred adults with an intellectual or neurodevelopmental disability in Nottinghamshire. This may be on a 1 to 1 basis or in a group setting.
Qualifications and experience
* Previous experience as a Technical Instructor is not essential; you must have experience of supporting/assisting people with complex needs. This experience may reflect work in employment, or personal, social, or leisure contexts.
* You will need to demonstrate awareness of the specific difficulties faced by people with intellectual disabilities and other complex health and social needs.
* Experience or familiarity with specialist treatment interventions such as hydrotherapy (therapeutic use of water) and rebound therapy (therapeutic use of a trampoline) is beneficial.
