ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Director of Rooms, the Welcome Office Manager at W Edinburgh has overall responsibility for all Welcome Office operations, including reception, guest relations and switchboard. We are looking for someone who is polished, professional and dedicated to providing luxury service.

As Welcome Office Manager, key aspects of your role include (but are not limited to):

1. Recruit and retain the best talent on the market
2. Design and implement the hotel’s front desk policies, standards and procedures
3. Devise steps of service and train all staff accordingly
4. Develop teamwork throughout your team
5. Ensure compliance with all data protection legislation and regulations
6. Manage all aspects of the team, including payroll, training, recruitment, performance and discipline
7. Keep the team focused on the critical components of operations to drive guest satisfaction and desired financial results
8. Effectively handle guest complaints to ensure satisfactory resolution
9. Work in collaboration with all heads of departments to ensure a successful hotel operation
10. Be a W brand ambassador, ensuring the brand’s voice is present in your interactions with guests and talent

W Edinburgh brings bold architecture and a vibrant lifestyle offering to the Scottish capital. Behind a façade featuring a winding steel ribbon – reflecting the city’s festival spirit – this 12-storey structure is the centrepiece of Edinburgh St James Quarter, incorporating retail, leisure and entertainment facilities along with residential apartments.
