Seven Social Care is looking for a Lead Occupational Therapist to fill an exclusive opportunity in Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire.
The role:
To provide a client centered approach to assisting people with complex disabilities to achieve their maximum level of functioning and independence in their own homes. Occupational Therapy interventions focus on adapting the environment, modifying the task, teaching skills and educating clients and families in order to eliminate environmental barriers to independence
Key Responsibilities:
To assess and provide appropriate client centered Occupational Therapy intervention assisting people with disabilities to achieve their maximum level of functional independence.
To supervise and facilitate the development of The Disability Resource Team Staff including Occupational Therapy Assistants, Occupational Therapists (PT 31), Sensory, Duty, Joiners, and Blue Badge staff.
To provide professional assessment, advice and training to service users, carers, relatives and professionals with core and specialist equipment
To assess complex clients and make recommendations for major and minor housing adaptations that maximizes resources
Applicant Requirements:
* Qualifications: Degree approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
* Experience: 2+ years working with children as a qualified Social Worker in the UK.
* Compliance: Up to date HCPC registration and DBS.
* Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
* Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
