Job Description We have an exciting new position for a driven menswear designer to join a well-established, high quality clothing menswear brand. You will be working on multi product apparel menswear and kids wear working within a busy design team based full time in house in Derbyshire.
Menswear Designer – The role:
Designing and creating CAD's and spec sheetsComplete extensive trend research, create mood boards and comp shopping
Working on briefs with the design team in order to generate new ranges.
Following samples through to production stage.
Working to critical paths.
Liaising with factories
Working on briefs, technical packs and trend boards.
Menswear Designer – The person:
Must be proficient with CAD, Experienced in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
Fashion or Textile Degree
Experience designing menswear
Strong interest for the fashion industry and menswear
Attention to detail
Exceptional communication, organisational and presentation skills.
Able to work effectively in a fast paced environment.
A good all round knowledge of fabrics and garment construction.
