Are you ready for a new challenge? We have an exciting secondment opportunity for a nurse to come and work in the Surgical Assessment Unit in Bath. We are looking to employ a junior sister/charge nurse to cover a six month secondment.
Main duties
Experience at band 5 level on a surgical ward is essential. Any experience or knowledge of coordinating a ward is desirable, but we will provide training to develop your knowledge and skills. A teaching qualification is also required to ensure we can continue to support and motivate students. You must have excellent communication and organisational skills as well as being able to prioritise and problem solve.

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
We are a fifteen bedded inpatient ward with a same day emergency care assessment area with eleven trolleys and a waiting room. We are committed to delivering high quality, patient focused care in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for a passionate nurse to lead and manage a team to effectively run a front door area and manage the surgical inpatient flow within the hospital.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
