Job Role: Electrician Location: HMP Send, Ripley Rd, Woking. GU23 7LJ
Salary: £46,177.30 per annum. Contract: Permanent. 39hrs per week. Mon-Fri.

We are seeking a dedicated fully qualified Electrician to join our team at HMP Send, a closed, adult, female prison.

HMP Send runs like a self‑contained town, requiring hundreds of people to keep it functioning. As part of the Facilities Maintenance Team, you will be committed to driving the smooth and safe operation, ensuring a safe and secure environment for prisoners, employees, visitors, families, and the community.
As an Electrician, you will work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues, including Plumbers, other Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, Administrators, and others, all dedicated to making a positive difference.

Qualifications & Experience
* Certificate in BS7671:2018 (18th edition)
* Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or Electrotechnical Services (City & Guilds/EAL), including relevant NVQs and competency assessments (AM2/AM2S). For example: 2367 or 2357.
* Minimum two years’ experience as a fully qualified electrician
* Experience with commercial or industrial electrical systems
* Good knowledge of planned and preventive maintenance operations
* Good Health & Safety knowledge
* Excellent organisational, time‑management and people skills
