 
        
        SEND Teacher - PRU- Wallasey 
Are you a passionate and resilient SEND Teacher looking for a rewarding new challenge?
 We are recruiting for a dedicated SEND Teacher to join a Secondary PRU in Wallasey, part of a well-established group of PRUs across the Wirral.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fairly new and growing site that provides a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for secondary-aged pupils who may find mainstream education challenging. The site caters for up to 20 pupils, many of whom receive 1:1 support from dedicated teaching assistants.
Our provision is non-curriculum-based, focusing instead on personal development, emotional regulation, and engagement. Pupils present with a range of SEND needs, including SEMH, ADHD, challenging behaviour, and ACEs.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, adaptable learning experiences that meet the individual needs of pupils.
Foster positive relationships that build trust, confidence, and resilience.
Work collaboratively with support staff, pastoral teams, and external professionals.
Create a calm, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
Contribute to the wider school ethos of care, respect, and re-engagement in learning.Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience working with pupils with SEND.
A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to teaching.
Strong interpersonal and behaviour management skills.
