A well-established national insolvency and business recovery firm is seeking a Senior Insolvency Investigator to join their growing team. This fully remote role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of corporate and personal insolvency cases, gaining exposure to high-profile, complex investigations and contributing directly to the recovery and resolution of cases.
This is a senior-level role ideal for an experienced investigator looking to develop their career within a dynamic, client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct detailed investigations into the affairs of companies and individuals in insolvency.
* Prepare comprehensive reports for internal teams, clients, and, where required, creditors and regulatory bodies.
* Assist with gathering evidence, tracing assets, and identifying potential fraudulent or wrongful transactions.
* Support insolvency practitioners in contentious and non-contentious cases.
* Liaise with banks, accountants, directors, and other stakeholders to gather financial and operational information.
* Maintain accurate case records and documentation in line with regulatory and internal requirements.
* Mentor and provide guidance to more junior members of the investigation team.
Skills & Experience
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in insolvency investigations or forensic accounting.
* Strong understanding of insolvency processes, corporate structures, and financial reporting.
* Experience in asset tracing, fraud detection, and recovery work is highly desirable.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial information.
* Strong communication skills – able to liaise effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
