TRC Northeast is on the lookout for Drivers/Compound Operatives to join our prestigious automotive manufacturing partner based in Washington/Sunderland. In this role, you will work in a compound/car park environment, handling various tasks related to the movement and organization of vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
* You will manage vehicle movements within expansive compounds, which includes transporting vehicles to and from workshops and parking them in designated bays.
* The vehicles you will operate range from compact family cars to small commercial vehicles.
* Adherence to Standard Operations and Risk Assessment and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is essential.
* Effective communication with fellow compound staff and supervisors will be necessary.
Required Qualifications:
* A valid and clean driver's license is a must.
* Experience with specific vehicle types or equipment is preferred.
* The role can be physically demanding, requiring the ability to stand and walk for long periods.
* Attention to detail is crucial to ensure the safe and efficient movement of vehicles.
* A solid understanding of safety protocols and procedures is vital.
* Strong communication skills with team members and supervisors are required.
Hours:
The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with mandatory overtime during the week and on weekends.
Shifts are from 07:00 to 15:18 and 16:00 to 00:18 or as requested by our partner (0900-1800 for example).
