Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced therapeutic radiographer to join the Radiotherapy department at the Royal Free London as a band 7 Radiographer. We are looking for a candidate with excellent team leadership and communication skills who will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the treatment units ensuring delivery of a high level of service and patient care.
Responsibilities
* Interpret treatment prescriptions and treatment plans using knowledge gained during training and postgraduate experience.
* Make judgments regarding the daily treatment set-up and delivery for each patient. This interpretation and judgment skill will be at a high level, and the senior radiographer will be considered a technical expert in the general fields of radiotherapy.
* Refer complex treatments and situations to the senior radiographer, who must have the technical and analytical skills to deal with them effectively.
* Maintain an efficient, communicative, and flexible service so that the patient pathway is continuous.
* Ensure delivery of a high level of service and patient care while managing the day-to-day operations of the treatment units.
