Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC wood Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of wood machining processes and the ability to operate CNC machinery, drills, saws and edge banders with precision. This role involves interpreting technical drawings, setting up and operating CNC machines, drills, saws and edge banders and ensuring the highest quality of manufactured components. The successful applicant will be detail-oriented, possess excellent wood machining knowledge.
Responsibilities
* Operate CNC, drill and edge bander machines to produce high-quality components.
* Interpret CAD drawings and designs to ensure accurate machining.
* Set up machines by installing and aligning tools, fixtures, and workpieces.
* Conduct routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
* Perform first off quality checks using basic maths to measure dimensions and tolerances.
* Troubleshoot machining issues as they arise and make necessary adjustments.
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Experience
* Proven experience as a wood Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
* Proficient in using woodwop and IMAwop software for programming will be advantageous.
* Familiarity with Homag and IMA processing equipment will be advantageous.
* Experience in operating wood machines is essential.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
