Credit Controller
Salary up to £35K
Location - Hagley
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Credit Controller to help manage the day-to-day financial transactions of our business.
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal part in maintaining the financial health of the organisation. A proactive and focussed person with responsibilities ranging from tracking outstanding payments to ensure that cashflow is steady and that debt is collected a quickly as possible and nurturing relationships with clients to mitigate debt risk. Other duties include processing supplier invoices, purchase orders, expenses, preparing client sales invoices/credit notes and reconciling ledgers.
Candidate Specification:
· Reliable, trustworthy, and discreet.
· Able to work independently and as part of a team.
· Proactive and confident in asking questions or suggesting improvements.
· Efficient when handling multiple tasks.
Qualifications
· Previous experience in bookkeeping or a similar financial / administrative or finance support role.
· Knowledge of accounting principles
· Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and digital record-keeping (CAFM)
· Proficiency with bookkeeping/accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
Preferred Qualifications
· AAT Level 2–4 or equivalent (or working towards it).
· Experience within [industry/company type]
· Knowledge of bookkeeping principles
